I have journeyed through this pandemic time as many others have also - riding the unexpected waves up and down. For my artistic pursuits, it has opened unexpected doors. I mean this in many ways from the nature of the artwork, community engagement, clients/customers and showings.
I have always embraced a degree of online learning. I am a very early riser and it is in the stillness and dark of the early hours that I seem to have the most time and energy for personal pursuits, innovation, creativity and reflection. So online fits well within that timeframe. Over the years I have benefited hugely from Everyday Matters (Danny Gregory's early blog), and Sketchbook Skool. More recently I have used Domestika, Fibre Arts Take Two and Masterclass (more relevant to my instructional design work but a huge stimulus for creativity at the same time).
Added to this was several requests to support others in artistic pursuits during this incredible time period in which we live. I always work in this respect from a ground up or needs-based building of a response or delivery. Very simply, what does the person/client/group want and how do I then detail what they need and the best way to create a successful outcome for them?
So all of what fits within this section of my website results from this. With a continued big dollop of astonishment it seems to weave in and out and the lines between each section are blurry. I just had to call it and by that I mean that some work from Fibre Arts Take Two is also collage etc.
